Efforts have been undertaken in Geneva and in Zürich.
Programme Highlights
- The Geneva programme will be carried out in cooperation with a centre
in Bilbao, Spain, coordinated by Miguel Gonzalez-Torres. The first step
of this programme will be to conduct pre- and post-test surveys of consumers,
family members and a variety of healthcare workers, including emergency
room personnel.
- The goal of the Zürich programme is to educate the medical community
that early detection and treatment of schizophrenia can improved outcome
of the illness. To this end, a special consultation office has been
established to improve the knowledge of general practitioners. This
effort is linked to one in Basel.
